Aerial Lift Safety Course

This course will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete.

This class will cover the use of Boom lifts and scissor lifts. Topics covered shall include aerial lift safety, limitations of use, overall safety requirements when operating lifts and group scenarios for each type of vehicle covered. Topics to include:

  • Documented
• Maintenance and inspections
• Limitations and lift characteristics
• How to operate and vehicle stability
• Jobsite operations
• Operating on slope or hills
• Operating in hazardous locations

This certificate is valid only after a qualified person observes the trainee operate the aerial lift for enough time to demonstrate proficiency. Per WAC 296-869 & OSHA 29 CFR 1926.453
