Respiratory Protection Training

This class covers the requirements identified in 29 CFR 1910.134 (OSHA respiratory protection) and WAC 296-842 (Washington respirators).
This 30 minute class is designed for employees who wear or may be required to wear a respirator on the job, as well as the supervisors and safety personnel who oversee them. Participants learn the basic elements of a respiratory protection program: medical evaluation, fit testing, types of respirators and filter cartridges, seal checks, and proper cleaning, inspection, and storage. This class meets the general training component of a respiratory protection program. It does not replace the employer’s site-specific training, fit testing, or medical evaluation.
