Practical evaluation

OSHA and ASME require a hands on evaluation in addition to classroom knowledge. You will receive an evaluation sheet on completion of this course.

Under Washington L&I rules, an evaluation performed by a qualified third party evaluator is portable and transfers with you between employers. An evaluation performed internally by your own employer stays with that employer and would need to be repeated if you change companies.

Integrity Safety performs third party evaluations. Contact us at info@integritysafety.com to arrange one.

The new OSHA standard states, “Employers must use qualified riggers during hoisting activities for assembly and disassembly work.  Additionally, qualified riggers are required whenever workers are within the fall zone and hooking, unhooking, or guiding a load, or doing the initial connection of a load to a component or structure.

This course gives workers the knowledge needed to rig safely on the jobsite. Each participant will receive a “Qualified Rigger” certification.  Course satisfies the requirements for OSHA as well as Washington State. In addition:

  • Inspection and removal criteria
  • Hands on inspection
  • Actual rigging used for demonstrations
  • Written test
  • Rigging problem solving
