About Our CPR Program
Integrity Safety CPR and First Aid certifications are valid for two years. Our curriculum is based on American Red Cross recommendations and ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation) guidelines — the same international evidence base that informs both American Red Cross and American Heart Association programs. OSHA’s standard at 29 CFR 1926.50 requires certification from a “recognized organization,” a term OSHA has consistently interpreted to mean an organization whose training is based on nationally accepted emergency cardiac care guidelines. Integrity Safety’s program meets that standard.
We also recognize, based on OSHA Standard Interpretation, that certain high-hazard operations carry additional requirements. For companies self-performing permit-required confined space rescue, logging operations, or electric power transmission and distribution work, the applicable OSHA standards specify that CPR training include a hands-on, traditional lecture-based component with skills evaluation. For workers in those classifications, Integrity Safety recommends — and can help arrange — an in-person or blended training option that satisfies those specific requirements.
For general construction operations covered under 29 CFR 1926.50, our online certification meets the regulatory standard. For companies performing specialized high-hazard work, we can help arrange training that meets those specific requirements as well.
